Warhorses break out the bats for Senior Night
Owen baseball scores 23 runs in home victory

Eight players were honored by the Warhorse baseball team, May 2, before the opening pitch against the visiting Rosman Tigers.
Owen celebrated Senior Night with an offensive outburst that finished with a season-high run total.
The Warhorses recognized Liam Gildner, D.J. Graves, Jonathan Nichols, Liam Gildner, Jackson Craig, Toby Briggs, Charlie Elder, Avery Smith and Chris Perez, as the players prepared for the final regular season home game of their careers.
The home team showed their appreciation for the group with its bats, in a 23-13 victory.
Juniors Will Johnson and Aiden Warnock led the way, as each collected 4 RBI in the contest. In a 4 for 5 performance, Johnson scored 3 runs, stole a base and notched a double. Warnock, who started the game on the mound, also recorded a double in his 3 for 5 showing.
Seven Warhorses registered at least one hit, as they improved to 7-12 this season. The team extended its winning streak to four games, outscoring its opponents 66-22 during that span.
The 23-run performance marked a season best for the Warhorses, who scored 22 against Thomas Jefferson in April.
Owen will attempt to close out the regular season with its fifth consecutive victory, Thursday, May 4, in Rosman, in the final game of the regular season.
