Owen drops second straight to open season

The Owen Warlassies fell to 0-2 this season with a Jan. 7 loss at home to Pisgah.

The Black Bears were in control from the opening minutes and the Warlassies struggled to respond as the visiting team secured a 61-26 victory.

Owen was led by senior guard Hannah Larios, who scored 6 points in the contest.

The loss is the second straight for the Warlassies, who opened the 2020-21 campaign with a 53-45 loss to Hendersonville at home, Jan. 8. Owen will return to action on its home court, Tuesday, Jan. 12, when the Warlassies host Haywood Christian Academy.
