Dr. Alisa Hove to compete in Wildcard Champions Hearts Tournament

A familiar face in the Swannanoa Valley is returning to a familiar place, at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, when Dr. Alisa Hove appears on the long-running game show, JEOPARDY!

The Warren Wilson College Biology Department Chair and professor of botany, will compete in the Wildcard Champions Hearts Tournament, following her 2021 finish as second runner-up in the Professors Tournament.

Hove was one of 15 competitors in the 2021 tournament and one of three to advance to the finals. As she returns to the set, the educator is competing for the $100,000 grand prize and a chance to appear in the 2024 JEOPARDY! Tournament of Champions.

“I thought that going on JEOPARDY! once and winning was a euphoric, once in a lifetime experience. I was thrilled to have the chance to go back, compete, and spend time with a new set of contestants in the JEOPARDY! community,” Hove said in an announcement released by Warren Wilson College.
