Four seniors took the court Oct. 14, in their final regularly scheduled home game in the Owen gymnasium, and the Warlassies made it a Senior Night to remember.

Owen hosted Western Highlands Conference opponent Madison, Thursday night, when they improved to 10-9 on the season with a victory in straight sets.

Ava Allen, Bailee Worley, Emily Stone and McKenna Mumpower were recognized on the court before the match began, each senior receiving gift baskets and loud applause from the home fans. The Warlassies wasted little time establishing themselves on the court against the Patriots, cruising to a 25-15 victory in the opening set.

Owen extended its lead with a 25-20 performance in the second set, and captured the match with a 25-10 showing in the final set.

The Warlassies clinched a playoff appearance with the victory, finishing the conference season as the top 2A team in the split conference, with a 7-5 mark. Owen will play two more non-conference matches at home, Saturday, Oct. 16, and Monday, Oct. 18, to close out the regular season.
