After a long winter, closets and garages are overflowing, and folks are itching to get out and do some bargain hunting. The return of the Swannanoa Community Yard Sale, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, offers a potential remedy.

The popular twice-yearly sale, sponsored by Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS), is set to return, as dozens of sellers and hundreds of buyers will descend on the Swannanoa Ingles parking lot, 2299 U.S. 70, to peddle their wares and shop for treasures.

Seller spaces are $15 each, with a two-space maximum per seller. Participants are asked to bring their own tables, and payment must be made in advance to reserve a space.

For information on registration and payment options, please call 828-515-1840, or send an email to swannanoayardsale@gmail.com.

FANS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working for a strong and vibrant Swannanoa by encouraging active involvement, fostering community spirit, and honoring Swannanoa’s unique history and natural heritage. All proceeds from seller spaces help support FANS’ work in the Swannanoa community. To learn more about FANS, visit swannanoaFANS.org.
