Nearly 40 students have been selected by their peers to represent 15 clubs and athletic programs and four grade levels, as Owen High School prepares to commemorate its 2024 homecoming.
The annual tradition will culminate with the crowning of a king and queen at halftime, Friday, Sept. 20, when the Warhorses host Draughn.
This year’s homecoming court nominees include representatives from Owen’s band, cheer, football, soccer, volleyball, tennis and cross country teams. School clubs, including Student Government, FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, National Honor Society, ROTC, Serve to LEAD and Link Crew, are each represented by members.
Two seniors, four juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen were nominated to represent their respective classes.
Owen will celebrate the occasion, Sept. 16 - 20, with Spirit Week, as the student body elects a homecoming court.
