With the end of winter only weeks away, registration for the Black Mountain Recreation & Parks Department’s Spring Ascension Series is underway.

The program, which returns in March and April, offers a variety of adventures for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

The 2022 Spring Ascension Series will feature two rock climbing sessions, three local hikes, two trail building days and a pair of river cleanup events. This spring program is made possible through partnerships between BMRP and the local outdoor industry, including the G5 Trail Collective and Camp Grier in Old Fort.
