For many of its regular customers, it’s difficult to imagine a better mealtime option than a hot dog from the Foothills Butcher Bar & Kitchen in Black Mountain. The locally owned and operated company’s focus on “honest meat” has helped make its Hotdog Brothers hot dog one of its most popular menu items.
However, after eight years of striving to create the perfect recipe, Foothills will celebrate its “new and improved” hot dogs from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday Nov. 20, by giving away 100 of them.
Prepared every week in its downtown Black Mountain butcher shop, Foothills uses pasture-raised beef and pork from local farms to make its hot dogs. The company refined its hot dog recipe this fall in an effort to create “the best ones you've ever eaten.”
Foothills will distribute 100 free hot dogs this weekend at its Black Mountain Avenue location, and no purchase is necessary. Each person will receive one complimentary hot dog while supplies last, and customers have the option of dining on the patio or lawn, or order for carryout.
The event allows Foothills to introduce its new hot dog recipe while showing appreciation to the community.
“We really love hotdogs,” Foothills said in a release announcing the giveaway. “That’s why we’re obsessive about making them the best they can be.”
