Andrew Finn Magill brings his strings to the flower farm

Bloom WNC specialty cut flower farm will welcome award-winning fiddler Andrew Finn Magill, at 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 10, for a solo performance.
Tickets for the event are $15 and can be purchased through the Bloom website. The rustic venue has been home to a series of concerts throughout the summer. Concertgoers are invited to bring a chair and some bug spray and enjoy an evening of world-class talent.
Magill is an Asheville native with serious musical chops who has traveled the world exploring musical genres and raising awareness in the process. He comes from a prominent musical family and was raised spending summers at the Swannanoa Gathering learning his art from some of the best bluegrass, old-time and Irish fiddlers in the world.
He has been featured on TEDx, NPR, and MTV-U. Magill is a Fulbright fellow, a 2019 North Carolina Arts Council fellow, All-Ireland Fiddle finalist and has performed with John Doyle, Rising Appalachia, Charm City Junction, Open the Door for Three, Greg Ruby, The Paul McKenna Band, and Peter Mawanga among others.
Since 2004 ,when he debuted on Drive and Lift , Magill has been working as a professional musician, recording music, teaching, lecturing and sharing the influences of notable musicians by traveling the world. From Africa’s Malawi to Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, the talented musician has explored the connections between Irish fiddling and other cultures.
He has released a variety of recordings including concept albums Roots and Branches and Canta, Violino! which explores Brazilian influences.
