Beautiful music will return to the garden at Bloom WNC, from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, May 6, with WNC musical icon David Childers brings newcomers Zachary Warren and Helena Rose for a singer-songwriters in the round concert.

Tickets are $15, and can be purchased online at farmerfloristbloom.com. Guests are asked to bring a chair to the rustic outdoor farm setting off North Fork Road, and listen to the artistic output of the three talented musicians.

Childers has been playing music since he was a teenager, touring throughout his working years and now settling into a comfortable routine of making music while helping others in many ways. His new album, Serpents of Reformation, is a gospel-themed masterpiece of salvation and redemption.

Musician, poet, historian, painter, father and a champion of people who get tangled up in the bureaucratic legal system, Childers specializes in helping people navigate the maze of the Social Security system to obtain their benefits. He also takes younger musicians under his wing and shares his wisdom and experience. This concert is testimony to that impulse.

Joining Childers in the round will be Warren, a local musician who made his debut on the Bloom stage last summer and has been performing non-stop since. After a fan-fueled meeting with Childers in late 2021, the two struck up a musical relationship that is going strong.

Warren’s powerful songwriting is relatable and his gentle guitar style is a delight. With an album in the works and a host of musicians at his side, Warren is building confidence as quickly as his growing fan base.

Rose is a folk, singer-songwriter and banjo picker from WNC. With her deep passion for music, and a biology degree from East Tennessee State University, she is fighting for progress throughout Appalachia, while still keeping the old traditions alive. Her graceful blend of the differing times makes for an all encapsulating listening experience.

Ole’s Guacamole will be on site with their popular taco bar. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks, but please no dogs and no smoking.
