Owner Abigail Helberg Moffitt welcomes Cast Iron Bluegrass to begin her concert season out on the Bloom WNC Specialty Cut Flower Farm.

From 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 24, this high-energy group of talented musicians returns for the third year in a row. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the Bloom website. Concerts on the lawn are limited to 125 people, so purchasing tickets early is encouraged.

Cast Iron Bluegrass is made up of Andrew Blythe on vocals and banjo, Nick Dauphinais on vocals and mandolin, Celia Millinhgton-Wyckoff on bass and Rob Sine on vocals and guitar. The band is using the Bloom concert to celebrate their release of their latest album “Flicker of Love.”  This will be the group’s second album and features 10 original songs, many of which highlight their strong three-part harmony and expert musicianship.

Cast Iron Bluegrass was the first band to play on the Bloom property three years ago when musicians were crippled by the pandemic and their inability to tour or have inside shows. It is especially joyous to welcome the group back to the farm for this milestone.

The Bloom Flower Farm is just that: a rustic farm where audience members are encouraged to bring their own chair and bug spray or a blanket for later in the evening. To make the experience more enjoyable, Oles Guacamole’s will be on site with a $20 cash-only taco bar. Beef, chicken and vegetarian options will be available from 5:15-7:00pm. Guests are also welcome to bring a cooler and their own refreshments. Arrive by 5:45 to secure parking. If you are purchasing food, come a little earlier.

Next up on the Bloom Farm will be “Nick and Brew” comprised of Nick Dauphinais and Brew Davis on June 21st.

Purchase tickets for any show through the events page at BloomWNC.com and get additional important details.  For more information visit the website, or email abigail@farmerfloristbloom.com.
