The Asheville Christian Academy men’s basketball team fell to 0-3 on the season Tuesday night when they hosted Legacy Early College, ranked 14th in the nation by MaxPreps, in their home opener.
The ACA Lions entered the contest against the Legacy Lions (Greenville, S.C.) on the heels of back-to-back losses in the Phenom Tip-Off tournament in Rock Hill, S.C. over the weekend. Legacy, which plays a national schedule and features several NCAA Division I recruits and commitments, took the lead early and never trailed on its way to the 63-44 victory.
Senior Max Rogers (1) led ACA in scoring with 17 points, knocking down 4 from behind the 3-point line. Senior Collin Mills (0) added 10 points and freshman guard Christian Andrews (12) tallied 9.
ACA will attempt to pick up its first win of the season, Saturday, Nov. 20, when the Lions travel to Carmel Christian, which improved to 3-0 on the season tonight with a 75-54 victory over Gaston Christian.
