A pair of talented musicians will share the stage, from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, at Bloom WNC specialty cut flower farm in Black Mountain. Audiences who have been enjoying the beautiful, peaceful, shaded setting under the trees at the farm have also been treated to a range of acoustic music offered throughout the season.

A common face at almost every concert is Nick Dauphinais, whose abilities continue to impress and entertain. He will be joined by Zachary Warren, who in the course of a year went from novice performer to recently recording his first album. Together these two popular musicians will trade songs throughout the evening.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the Bloom WNC website.

Dauphinais, a multi-instrumentalist and tenor extraordinaire, has been performing since he was a child, joining his father’s bluegrass band at age 7. He has classical training, but bluegrass is in his blood. With thousands of performances under his belt, Dauphinais has shared his music in venues from the Opry stage to the Super Bowl, on TV and radio and as a studio musician.

He has performed and recorded with the Larry Stephenson Band, Roland White, the Mountain Faith Band, the Dauphinais Brothers, Grammy winners Jim Lauderdale and Bobby Hicks and many local bands as well. He has had a hand in writing many charting songs in bluegrass and Americana.

Warren has impressed since the moment he stood at the microphone singing tunes he had only practiced privately before last summer. He’s been writing songs since he was a teen, but never had the platform to perform until taking the stage at the Bloom farm. He is now a regular performer at small venues throughout the region. His album “Darlene” is full of thoughtful originals and is in the process of being mastered.

Bloom offers a no-frills outdoor farm setting, so ticket holders should bring a chair and bug spray. Ole’s Guacamole will be on site offering a cash-only taco bar for $15.  Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks, but dogs or smoking are prohibited. Concertgoers are asked not to arrive before 5:30 p.m.
