The Asheville Christian Academy Lions lost their first game of the season, Feb. 25, on the road against Avery, 42-20.

ACA entered the contest 1-0 after defeating the Tennessee Sliverbacks in Johnson City, Tennessee to open the Swannanoa school’s inaugural football season. Avery, which is the only Western North Carolina public school on the schedule for the Lions this season, started its season 1-0 with the victory at home.

The Lions return to action, Saturday, March 6, when they travel to S.C. to take on Pioneer Football League opponent the Anderson Cavaliers. ACA will host its first game Friday, March 12, when the Lions host the Tennessee Silverbacks.
