The struggles continued Jan. 19 for the Asheville Christian Academy men’s basketball team, who fell to 2-12 on the season with an 82-68 loss to visiting Knoxville Catholic.

The Fighting Irish jumped out to an early first quarter lead over the Lions and never looked back.

Knoxville Christian entered the half with a 14-point advantage over the hosting ACA team, which found its offense in the second half but struggled to contain the offense of the Fighting Irish.

Three Lions finished the contest with double-digit scoring efforts. Senior Collin Mills (0) led the way with 21 points while senior Kavan Horton (3) added 17. Junior De’Ante Green (13) finished the night with 10 points.

ACA will host N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association opponent Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, Friday, Jan. 22.
